Go out with a sparkle! How to organise the perfect “sparkler exit” from your wedding
A ‘sparkler exit’ is a spectacular way for the bride and groom to depart their wedding; it’s a lot of fun for the guests and it photographs beautifully. However, it can often turn into a race against time to get all the sparklers lit before some start to burn out. So, here are a few key tips:
- Buy large sparklers - the bigger the better!
- Ask the guests form two lines, holding their large, unlit sparklers.
- Ask two reception attendants to light every 3rd or 4th persons sparkler using a blow-torch style lighter (available from...). The guests can then turn to their neighbour, and pass on their flame. This is the key to ensuring that all the sparklers are burning at once.
